Hello,
On behalf of myself and the Board of Trustees, I would like to say thank you for your participation and all of the hard work done by classified staff, faculty, and administrators to ensure each commencement ceremony was a memorable and joyous occasion for students and their families and friends. Graduating from Moorpark College, Oxnard College, or Ventura College is an event marking a significant milestone in the journey of each graduate. It takes a concerted effort to coordinate these events with thousands attending as guests and hundreds of students participating. I recognize that the majority of the preparations are made by our classified staff. Many of you participated in long months of planning and your dedicated efforts resulted in the meaningful commencements enjoyed by all. Each and every task performed, from the set-up of hundreds of chairs to the cheers and smiles given to the graduates on their way to the stage, meant something to make this experience valuable. It is also important to applaud the standard of safety that was upheld for the guests and graduates at each ceremony. Your efforts and execution are deeply appreciated and for that you should be proud. Thank you for your personal contribution to the effectiveness of our District and to student success!
