District promises changes to better meet needs of Ventura College East Campus students.
Nestled in the heart of a strip mall off Highway 126 in Santa Paula is the only satellite campus of a community college in all of Ventura County.
The Ventura College East Campus has been in its current spot since 2011, and Ventura County Community College District leaders say it’s a place where students of all ages and backgrounds can go to pursue higher education.
The campus offers about 50 classes a year in subjects that range from English as a second language to medical assisting. In the 2017-18 school year, 706 students were enrolled in at least one class. The campus also oversees dual enrollment courses at local high schools.
