Information for Guests

There is no limit to the number of guests a graduating student may invite, but we do urge families and friends to arrive early to secure the best seating possible. There will be designated photo areas for guests to take pictures of their students, but guests may not stand in any areas that obstruct others’ views.

Parking information:
Parking on campus is free for the day, and we invite your guests to park in any student or guest parking lots. We recommend guests try to park in any of the upper-campus parking lots, such as Lot C, Lot B, Lot D, Lot E, or Lot A. Other parking lots on campus will be accessible but will require a significant walk up the hill to the ceremony site. More information about parking lots is available on the Upper Campus Map.

Accessible seating
Moorpark College strives to provide wheelchair and companion seating to guests with disabilities. However, please note that seating for the graduation ceremony is available on a first come, first serve basis and is subject to availability. We recommend arriving well in advance of the ceremony to ensure a larger selection of seating options. Volunteer ushers will be available the day of the event to assist with any other matters.

Information for Grads

Show up to the graduation ceremony at least 30 minutes early to walk with other graduates! Additional instructions will be included inside the regalia package that you purchase from the MC Bookstore. No RSVP is required to walk in the ceremony. While students pay for the diploma cover at the time that they purchase the regalia, students do not take it home until the day of the graduation ceremony. The graduation ceremony begins at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, May 17, 2019. Please note that participating students are expected to remain throughout the entire ceremony, which is expected to last up to two hours.
