Congratulations to the Superior Court of California employees at Ventura County who received Certificates of Achievement in Supervision from Ventura College. The certificates were conferred by President Kim Hoffmans. Employees completed the 3-year, 18-unit, evening program while continuing to work full-time. Several of the 15 employees received a work promotion during their enrollment in the program.
This is the third cohort of graduates from the partnership between Ventura College and the Court which had its beginnings in 2004. The program designated, M.A.P.S., Managing and Advancing Professional Success, included courses in supervision, human resource management, organizational behavior, and business English at their worksite through a contract training agreement.
