A deal between Ford and Oxnard College is helping some students get their auto repair careers rolling.
The college is one of four in California to offer the Ford Automotive Career Exploration program, thanks to a $300,000 contract with the company. The program is locally affiliated with Vista Ford in Oxnard.
“Oxnard College is excited to offer students the opportunity to get Ford-trained,” said associate professor Kevin Corse. “This program and our partnership with the Vista dealerships will give our students a competitive edge and an early start into Ford accelerated-training programs for salary and position advancement.”
