Chancellor and Trustees Advocate in Washington, D.C.

This week, Feb. 11-13, Dr. Gillespie, Trustee Bernardo Perez, and Trustee Larry Kennedy along with fellow community college leaders met with legislators in Washington, D.C. to advocate for students’ needs. The Chancellor and Trustees advocated for various priorities including removing barriers to community college and providing access and affordability; improving GI Bill services and accessibility for veteran students; DACA permanency; higher education act reauthorization.
