1. Decorate your cap!
- Find inspiration online and come up with a plan
- Sketch out your ideas
- Gather your supplies (check for coupons from your favorite hobby/craft store!)
- Cardstock adds color and extra structure to your cap
- Check the scrapbook aisle for stickers, letters, and embellishments
- Lay it all out and be sure to figure out where the front of your cap is!
- Glue it all together (hot glue works very well for this!)
- Try it on and snap some photos!
- Use bobby pins to keep your cap on
2. Dress for the weather
- Check the forecast in advance
- Keep the time of day for your commencement in mind when planning your outfit
3. Step up your shoe game
- When you have your gown on, the best way to express your individual style is by wearing a great pair of shoes!
- Bring an extra pair of comfortable shoes to switch to after the ceremony
4. Write a checklist
- Keep calm and make a list of the essentials you need for your big day
- Carry only the essentials with you so that you always have a hand free to take photos
5. Arrive early and have a meetup plan
- Life happens, especially traffic delays. Be sure to leave earlier than you need to get to the ceremony on time
- Decide in advance where you and your friends and family will meet up post-ceremony
