The week of May 20, 2019 the three colleges in the Ventura County Community College District held their commencement ceremonies. Districtwide there were over 3,000 grads, over 6,000 degrees awarded, and more than 3,000 certificates awarded.
Oxnard College held their 44th commencement on Thursday, May 16. Welcome speeches were given by Ms. Gabriella Torres, Trustee, Dr. Oscar Cobian, Vice President of Student Development, and Dr. Diane Eberhardy, President, Academic Senate. The student keynote speaker was Ms. Wren Palmer.

Ventura College held their 89th commencement ceremony on Friday, May 17. Welcome and introductions were given by President Dr. Damon A. Bell. Trustee Mr. Johsua Chancer gave remarks, followed by VCCCD Chancellor Dr. Gillespie. Lastly Associated Students of Ventura College President Vanessa Luis gave a commencement speech to fellow grads.

The last commencement ceremony to be held in the Ventura County Community College District was that of Moorpark College. The 52nd commencement was held on the afternoon of Friday, May 17. Welcome and introductions were given by Dr. Julius Sokenu, Moorpark College President. VCCCD Board of Trustees Chair Dianne McKay gave remarks following the college president. Thereafter congratulations were given by VCCCD Chancellor Dr. Gillespie and Professor/Academic Senate Vice President Nathan Bowen. The student address was given by Mr. Andrew Lopez, Associated Students President.
